After years of being a devoted mother and raising my 2 sons who are now grown, I decided to follow my dream. A dream that was created when I was a 10 year old child, growing up in Langley. That’s when my little sister was born and I instantly fell in love with babies and being a caregiver.
After working for 20yrs in an office I finally decided it was time to follow my dream and so I joined Doula Training Canada (DTC) to begin studying to be a certified Labour/Birth and Postpartum Doula. I’ve taken the Douglas College Labour and Birth Course and have helped several families as a birth and postpartum Doula.
I am passionate about supporting families during pregnancy, labour, delivery and postpartum time. My goal is to bring you a calm, anxiety-free birth experience.
When not supporting clients as a Doula, I’m a Registered Child and Youth Care Worker and do respite and relief for families of young children with disabilities. I also support families who have suffered health issues during pregnancy and postpartum. I have training in stroke and seizure support as well as other physical and mental health issues including addictions.
I have several certificates that aid me in the support of families including, Foodsafe Level 1, First Aid, CPR and INFANT CPR. In the new year I will begin my training in Infant and Pregnancy Loss Support Worker.
I am a mother, a nurturer, a helper and a compassionate caregiver. Being a Doula is what I was meant to do.
